Jillian Mercer
owner of White Noise Candles
Hi there! I’m the heart behind White Noise Candles, where self-care meets clean, cozy living. My candle journey started with my beloved cat, Della, who developed a skin reaction to store-bought, ultra-processed candles. Determined to find a solution, I began making my own candles with clean, safe ingredients—and the rest is history! Della has since overcome her skin allergy, and now she loves curling up with me every evening while we enjoy our favorite candles together.
I believe self-care should never feel like a luxury—it’s a necessity. For me, self-care often looks like lacing up my running shoes for a moving meditation or winding down after a long day by lighting a candle, slipping into bed with a face mask, and diving into a good book (or a guilty pleasure episode of House Hunters).
My vision is to inspire a guilt-free approach to self-care—creating space for moments of calm in a hectic world. With our clean ingredient candles, I hope to spark joy, encourage balance, and help you carve out your own little pockets of peace. Together, let’s say no to unnecessary stress and yes to a healthier, happier, more relaxed way of living.
Why soy wax?
Being a natural product derived from soybeans, soy wax is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, releasing no harmful chemicals when burned. This makes it a safer choice for both humans and pets. Soy wax candles burn cleaner, producing minimal soot, which helps prevent black stains on walls and curtains. The absence of toxins, carcinogens, and pollutants in soy wax also means it's less likely to cause allergies or respiratory problems. Soy wax is biodegradable, making it a more sustainable option compared to petroleum-based paraffin. Soy wax candles offer a safer, cleaner, and more eco-friendly alternative.
